One in three kids who walked through a Pedaling Minds camp in 2025 was on a scholarship. We don't means-test. We don't ask for tax returns. We don't put you through a phone interview. If you need help, ask — we say yes.
We don't want a scholarship program. We want a riding program that everyone can come to. The 33% number is our north star. The day it's not enough, we raise the fund.
The donations on this page directly cover the cost of helmets, bikes, coach time, and program weeks for kids whose families couldn't otherwise pay.
Real arcs from real summers. Names changed where requested; details are theirs.
Marcus had crashed a balance bike at four and refused to ride for three years. By Friday he was on a 16″ pedal bike. By the next summer he was L3. His mom now coaches a youth group at her church — on bikes.
Two sisters who'd been borrowing neighbor bikes for years. We put them through L3 and L5 the same summer. They led the Friday group ride — together. They've been part of the program ever since.
Diego started L1 on scholarship at age 8. He's now in our junior coaching pipeline — six summers later, helping run L1 cohorts himself. Closing the loop costs about $400 in scholarship dollars.
Every donation funds rider scholarships. 100% of it. No overhead siphon, no marketing line-item. We run the books transparently and publish annual numbers.
Loaner helmet for one rider, all summer. The single most-used piece of gear at every camp.
One scholarship day at a kids camp — coach, bike, snacks, the works. Sticks for life.
A complete 5-day Learn-to-Pedal camp for one rider. Monday they can't. Friday they can.
A full L1 cohort of four kids through their first week. Four lifelong riders for $1,500.
100% of donations fund rider scholarships. Tax ID 46-4630251. We're a 501(c)(3).
You ask, we say yes. It is genuinely that simple. We trust you. If you need help, you need help.
If you can ride, support one. If you need help, ask. Either side of this page — we'll meet you there.
